Getting there : MTBA (aka the ‘T’)

Boston is easy to get around in with the T. Driving? Unless your a local, not so much.

The T gets you close to both locations.

For Sterling Plaza (by Rowes Wharf) use Redline and get off at South Station then walk up the greenway north a few blocks. Or use the Orange/ Blueline and get off at State Street and walk south a few blocks.

For Dewey square get to the Redline and get off at South station. Walk upstairs.

What part of the Greenway?

What about rain?

Usually the weather is perfect and marvelous for dancing under the open sky. But yes, sometimes there has been a little drizzle.

We usually dance right through it and most are not bother too much. There is not rain delay, and you can expect to be dancing regardless.

Umbrella ? Maybe a good idea 0 check before you come. And maybe don’t wear your best shoes.

We are back for year 4!

This year we will open summer season with Boston Tango Orchestra, Hernan and Anita performance and lessons for Beginners and of course YOU!

Last year we started in the rain so just in case have your umbrella ready. The event happens rain or shine.

7 pm: Tango Dance Performance
• 7:30 pm: Introduction to Tango lesson with Boston Tango masters
• 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm: DJ Brisa spinning a mix of traditional and alternative tango music.

The event is free and all guests and onlookers are welcome. Bring your friends to show them your tango and remember there is free 60 minutes Beginner lesson on the side at 7pm.

What about Dance shoes

I have some great and expensive dance shoes – I see outdoors and cement. What dance shoes should I bring?

Yes, it can be a tiny dirty compared to great dance floor, and can even be a tiny bit damp on rare occasions. So don’t bring your 300 best shoes on the first time out.

Many followers bring there OLD / or Practice shows and don’t bring there best. Also that said, some regular shoes may suffice. Many leaders where business shoes instead of the suede shoes.

Also some advice for leaders, try not to lead too many movements that require significant pivots on the followers feet.

Parking?

Well its Boston – Plenty of places near park – but of course not free. If you are local, you may know how to find hidden street parking. Sundays are good days to try. But…

In general parking garages are everywhere, but is expensive (25-30 a day). Updated list of places will be put here in Late june.
